Even a family like the Pierce Family there are black sheep.

 

Screw ups that just can't seem to find their footings and are in constant need of help, or a hand out. Thomas Lee Pierce is THE black sheep for the Pierce Family.

 

Having grown up with such a prolific family, granted all the privileges their wealth and power offered, not to mention the connections to do anything in the world he desired he still somehow managed to fail at everything. Be it school in which his family name and a sizable donation from his father ensured he was granted admission he did not deserve only to flunk out. Be it the jobs in which he was set to merely sign papers and smile for the camera during public events only to show up drunk, or get caught with the wife, or daughter of the guest of honor. 

 

Thomas just can't do right and always finds a way to screw up.

 

It is why when he found a talent he had and showed even the slightest bit of skill in Piloting he was given the title of "Senior Pilot" and placed on an ignominious route flying Pierce Air cargo planes from Middle America to Las Vegas. Away from anyone of note or importance, and not doing anything beyond flying from point A to point B.

 

Of course Thomas didn't mind. He unlike the rest of his family was not cursed with the insatiable ambitions his family tended to have. Instead he was content working his 30-hour a week job making his high six figures a year and enjoying the sights of Las Vegas when he was on the ground.

 

Thomas was a simple man and just lived life as he could.

 

He didn't need the Pierce Way did he?
