It was his reputation, his allure, and his persona that allowed Pierce Inc access to the mainstream merchandising the name as much as the business dealings itself. The term "It's The Pierce Way After All." coined and franchised as the man roamed the world a very public face for a company that heretofore had been run quietly and modestly from the shadows. Patrick's revered father a astute and stern man in the old Roman Imperial mold where the son was a Modern Day Rock Star posing, preening, and strutting through the crowds of fawning fans and sycophants. 

 

Only when the Old Man passed away in 1990 when Patrick was granted the position of CEO did he even seem to take his life seriously.

 

Where before he was barely a figure in the lives of his two children or his wife he was now home every day.

 

Where before he was merely a name and a face for his son now he was a mentor preparing the boy to be the man to take his place.

 

He grew up over night it seemed.... For almost seven years at least it seemed he was the man his father had hoped he would become. Alas in the late 90's his midlife crisis took hold and the Patrick James Pierce III of old was woken and he returned to his old ways. 

 

The daily tasks of raising his son and managing the company pushed off to Randall the studious brother as he once more became the hard living, womanizing, fun loving, playboy of old.

 

Oh how the tabloids of the late 90's and early 2000's loved him with his playful nature and charisma a simple smile and wiggle of a finger drew the women to his piles of cash and promise of good times. Thus it was for over a decade he returned to his frat boy days. Multiple women every night, piles of drugs, luxury cars, Hotel Suites, and a reputation to boot... Hugh Hefner had nothing on Patrick James Pierce III.

 

It was a dark day indeed when his plane lost contact over the Pacific on his way to Hawaii.... The wreckage found and his body lost at sea..

 

A True American Icon dead too soon... His name living forever..And a son to carry on his legacy,
