The first of the Pierce Family to be groomed upon the West Coast of the United States it was Patrick James Pierce II who guided the growing powers of the Pierce Family through the Second World War assisting in the growing studios of Hollywood and establishing the family not just as a Business Power but as a fulcrum in the world of Media, Propaganda, and Entertainment.

 

Born in Pierce Estates in the early spring of 1919, Patrick grew in a home where his father was moving the familial holdings and interests westward having funded the growing California Oil Boom, and established roots in the growing port city of Los Angeles.

 

The young man did as expected of him from his early years onward, tutors, and experienced hands showing him the details of Business and the Markets of the world. Becoming fluent in over a dozen languages by the time he left for Yale during the hard times of The Great Depression. He watched as the world turned to fanaticism and despotism in the wake of poverty and despair.

 

Having graduated in the summer of 1941 he was placed as Pierce representative to the various Studios the family had invested in MGM, Fox, Warner Brothers, RKO, & Paramount (To be later known as The Big Five). It was during his initial days of business that the Bombing of Pearl Harbor happened and Patrick was placed a young man at the forefront of all Media and Propaganda for the US War Effort.

 

While his father oversaw all the Governmental War Contracts and spearheaded the War Effort on the Industrial Front. Patrick did his duties keeping the familial interests on the cutting edge of Media. The New Strips, War Propaganda, Morale Boosting Films, and Shows all pressed on his edge growing these Big Five Studios and producing entertainment for the masses and as a result increasing the power and influence of Hollywoodland. 

 

With eventual Allied Victory and the Booming times that followed Patrick James Pierce II took the helm of the family's business empire keeping the roots established in Los Angeles he finished the construction of Pierce Tower the Ivory Tower within Downtown Los Angeles... In the decades to follow it was overshadowed but always remained a beacon of power and prestige compared to the glass and metal monstrosities of the newer Sky Scrappers.

 

He was also the first to birth and raise a family on the West Coast within the Palatial Mansion that had grown beyond a mere West Coast Palace to become a Citadel of power and seat from which the Pierce Family ruled their growing empire.

 

Over the next nearly three decades Patrick married, raised his five sons, and grew the powers of the Pierce Family from a mere National power to a Global one. 

Never the man in the top position he preferred to shun the spotlight and stand in the shadows whispering orders to the man at the top. It was how men like Louis B. Mayer, Jack Warner, and Walt Disney all became Icons while funded and controlled by the Pierce hand... Puppets on the strings speaking with his voice.

 

On his death just shy of this 71st Birthday his eldest son Patrick James Pierce III took the helm. A very different man from a very different era Patrick the 2nd is remembered for his stoic nature and pure power emanated without a word being said.... A True Grey Eminence within the US Business and Entertainment World.

 

The Pierce Family revered his memory as perhaps the Greatest of All Pierce's.
