Henry Pierce Biography
All families have their Rebel..
The Pierce Family is no different, and Henry William Pierce is the perfect archetype of a Rebel.
In a family where duty, and knowing one's place is essential Henry would not follow the trends, or listen to orders. Neither from his Father, nor older brother. It was why he refused to go to Yale the school his family had helped establish and all men were expected to go to. Instead he went to Notre Dame. It was why he majored in Geology and played Football rather than take a more elegant major like Law or Business, nor play a gentleman's game. Henry did not want to be a gentleman, he barely wanted to be a Pierce.
With a mouth and demeanor that lacked the subtle charm, nor even propriety that was expected of him Henry found he preferred the blue collar types he ran across over the prim and proper aristocratic men of his family... He wanted dirt, sweat, beer, and bar fights... He wanted simple pleasures, and hard work...
It was why after he graduated he went to a small division of his family's empire to work Pierce Energy a mere footnote in the Oil and Gas Business based in Dallas, Texas among the giants like Shell, Exxon, and BP. A speck of dust in the vast Texas Prairie. But Henry liked the business, and he knew he would be left alone in Texas away from the LA nonsense.
From this speck of dust Henry using his ballsy nature, conflict oriented mindset, and brash personality he made fast friends among the Texas Roughnecks, and Cowboys. The Oil Men of the Lone Star State taking a quick liking to the man, and learned to respect him as he time after time found success out of sheer stubbornness and grit. Striking oil where other's failed to find it and turning the small division into one of the most dominant independent outfits in the Oil and Gas Industry.
As he was keen to keep to himself none of the Family dared to deny his requests when he married a woman of his own choosing, nor did they question his calls only assisting in projects when possible.
Pierce Energy was Henry's piece of the world and as long as he rendered to the Family when he was called he was not touched.
A King unto himself... Independent... Just as he wanted.
A lone wolf doesn't need the pack.
